About the Opportunity
Marks Sattin Executive Search is partnering with a successful PE-backed B2B infrastructure consultancy business based in Central London to find a strategic and commercial CFO to drive the business through a period of growth and transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the CEO and senior management team to drive the commercialization of the finance function, including the overhaul and improvement of systems, driving efficiencies, and financial processes to achieve optimized profit and margin improvement.
- Oversee the commercial operations of the business, providing valuable contributions to executive-level strategy through detailed and insightful performance analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
- Cultivate and expand strong external relationships with banks, debtors, creditors, and other stakeholders through hands-on engagement.
Requirements
- A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA) with a demonstrated track record operating at board level and serving as a CFO, particularly in a transformation environment, ideally delivering successful growth and a sale process.
- Background in PE-backed businesses within B2B, tech solutions, manufacturing, industrial services, building services, construction, facilities management, and/or related sectors is highly desirable.
- Track record of commercializing the finance function by overhauling systems, driving efficiencies, optimizing profits, improving margins, and managing work in progress.
- Proven experience in overseeing day-to-day operational finance and a genuine enthusiasm for contributing to both commercial and financial growth.
- Proficiency in managing relationships with bank debtors and creditors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
- Capable of collaborating with the executive team to steer the strategic trajectory of the business.
