Job Title: Year 2/3 Teacher

We are working with a reputable primary school in Welwyn Garden City to find a dedicated Year 2/3 Teacher to join their team on a long-term supply basis.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive lessons to Key Stage 1/2 pupils, following a pre-planned lesson structure provided by the school.

  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans to cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Maintain a well-organized classroom environment, ensuring the safe use and storage of all equipment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support student learning and development, promoting a positive and inclusive school culture.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and monitor their academic growth, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with the school's policies and contribute to maintaining a safe and supportive educational atmosphere.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • QTS or an equivalent qualification.
  • A strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1/2 curriculum.
  • Recent experience as a Year 2/3 Teacher in a primary school setting.
  • Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • The ability to assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and monitor their academic growth.
