Accounts Payable Assistant/Purchase Ledger Clerk

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Assistant/Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our finance team at Page Personnel Finance. If you have a passion for numbers and a keen eye for accuracy, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and record purchase invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes
  • Ensure all payments are authorized and processed in line with company policy
  • Handle supplier queries and reconcile statements
  • Prepare and process payment runs (BACS, cheque, etc.)
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchase ledger records
  • Assist in month-end closing processes
  • Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as an Accounts Payable Assistant/Purchase Ledger Clerk is desirable
  • Strong understanding of purchase ledger processes and accounting principles
  • Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, etc.)
  • High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with suppliers
  • Studying towards an Accountancy qualification is a plus
