We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our management team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in shaping and executing our financial strategy to drive business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Financial Strategy and Planning

Develop and implement a comprehensive financial strategy to support our long-term objectives. Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Provide financial analysis and insights to inform strategic decision-making.

Financial Management and Reporting

Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with statutory requirements and accounting standards. Ensure regular comprehensive financial reporting to the management team and stakeholders. Manage cash flow, investments, and financial risk to maintain the company's financial health.

Credit Management

Work with the credit control team to enhance and enforce credit policies and procedures. Oversee credit control, collections, and manage relationships with creditors and debtors. Monitor and mitigate credit risk effectively.

Financial Systems and Controls

Implement and maintain robust financial systems and internal controls. Oversee internal and external audits and address any findings promptly.

Operational Finance Management

Take a hands-on approach to managing the day-to-day financial operations of the business. Provide support and guidance to the finance team in their daily tasks and responsibilities.

Leadership and Team Management

Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Provide mentorship and development opportunities for team members.

Stakeholder Management

Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, insurers, auditors, and regulatory bodies. Ensure effective communication and collaboration to achieve business objectives.

Requirements

  1. Qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  2. Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role.
  3. Strong experience in credit management and implementing financial systems and controls.
  4. Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, financial analysis, and risk management.
  5. A robust, hands-on approach to managing day-to-day financial operations.
  6. Experience in acquisitions would be advantageous.
