Job Title: Residential Childcare Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Headway Adolescent Resources. As a key member of our residential team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people with challenging behavior.

About the Role:

This is a permanent position with excellent career prospects and a comprehensive training program. You will work on a days on and days off shift pattern with sleep-ins, and be eligible for generous allowances for bank holidays, overtime hours, and a performance-related bonus scheme.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized care and support to young people with challenging behavior
  • Work collaboratively with the residential team to create a safe and nurturing environment
  • Develop and maintain clear, accurate records of young people's progress and well-being
  • Engage and motivate young people through various activities and programs
  • Support young people in achieving their goals and aspirations
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with young people, preferably in a residential setting
  • Qualified to QCF level in Children and Young People, or willing to work towards the qualification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Computer experience to an intermediate level
  • Full manual driving license
