About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team at Tokamak Energy, a leading global commercial fusion energy company. As a Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and operation of systems and technology that bring commercial fusion energy closer to realisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed system requirements, specifications, and verification plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Lead the development of system architecture models to meet project requirements, applying systems thinking to projects.
  • Ensure that all systems adhere to safety regulations and protocols to guarantee the safety of personnel and equipment.
  • Decompose system requirements into functions, develop functional decomposition diagrams, and capture functional requirements for systems and sub-systems.
  • Maintain documentation relating to system designs, processes, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Degree level in engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in systems engineering, preferably in the energy or nuclear field.
  • Understand the characteristics of good quality requirements and traceability.
  • Familiar with systems engineering lifecycle processes and tailoring of processes to optimise project performance.
  • Knowledge of verification & validation planning activities.
