Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Solicitor to join our team at the Highland Council, responsible for providing legal services related to litigation and advice.

The successful candidate will be a member of our team, working closely with colleagues to deliver high-quality legal services to the Council.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice and representation in litigation matters
  • Conduct research and analysis to support legal cases
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a qualified Solicitor holding an unrestricted practising certificate issued by the Law Society of Scotland, or a second-year trainee nearing the end of your traineeship and holding a restricted practising certificate.

You will also need to have a strong understanding of litigation and legal procedures, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
