Work Schedule: The standard shift pattern is Monday to Friday.

In line with NHS Scotland's initiative, the full-time working week will transition from 37.5 hours to 37 hours per week, effective from April 2024, without any alteration in remuneration. This adjustment will also apply on a pro-rata basis for part-time employees. Please note that not all service areas may implement the new working hours immediately, and you may be required to work an additional 30 minutes per week temporarily, for which you will be compensated until your service area adjusts its rosters.

Position Overview: This role presents an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to enhance their pediatric nursing and assessment capabilities within the Specialist Community Pediatric Nursing Team. The successful candidate will collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team, promoting integrated nursing practices and exercising independent clinical judgment.

The role involves advocating for self-care principles among patients, families, and caregivers, empowering them to utilize health resources available in their community. Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting assessments, developing, implementing, and evaluating care plans.
  • Providing necessary nursing interventions within the community.
  • Participating in multi-disciplinary assessments of children, including those with additional support needs.
  • Working within the disability pathway, conducting nursing disability reviews for children with neuro-disabilities, and supporting the Band 6 Specialist Children's Services Disability Nurse.

The service is committed to delivering nursing and healthcare to children with complex care needs and neurodiverse conditions in the Glasgow area. Experience in pediatric care is essential, and a full driving license is required.
