Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday.
In alignment with NHS Scotland's initiative, the full-time working week will transition from 37.5 to 37 hours per week, effective from April 2024, maintaining the same remuneration. This adjustment will also apply proportionately to part-time staff. While this position reflects the new working hours, certain service areas may require temporary adjustments, necessitating up to an additional 30 minutes of work per week until the new rosters are implemented. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to enhance their pediatric nursing and assessment expertise within the Specialist Community Pediatric Nursing Team in Glasgow. The successful candidate will collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team, promoting integrated nursing practices and exercising independent clinical judgment.
The responsibilities include:
- Promoting self-care principles to patients, families, and caregivers.
- Empowering individuals to access and utilize health resources within their community.
- Conducting assessments, developing, implementing, and evaluating care plans.
- Providing necessary nursing interventions in the community setting.
- Participating in multi-disciplinary assessments for children, including those with additional support needs.
- Engaging in the disability pathway, conducting nursing disability reviews for children with neuro-disabilities, and collaborating with the Band 6 Specialist Children's Services Disability Nurse.
The service is dedicated to delivering nursing and healthcare to children with complex care and neurodiverse needs in the Glasgow area. Previous experience working with children is essential, and a full driving license is required.
