About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Contractor Scheduler to join our team at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. As a key member of our Operational Estates department, you will play a crucial role in managing communications with contractors and ensuring that they carry out their work in accordance with our procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contractor Management: Take the lead on managing communications with contractors, ensuring that they carry out their work in accordance with our procedures.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Prioritize and schedule daily contractor jobs, monitor CAFM Incoming Job Screen, and coordinate contractors and allocate duties according to urgent workload.
  • Financial Management: Manage all financial elements related to the procurement of contracted services, including the raising of orders, receipting orders, and resolution of invoice queries.
  • Communication and Liaison: Communicate with clinical teams to ensure that they are aware of contractor's attendance on site and that access is arranged to cause as minimal disruption to clinical services as possible.
  • Problem-Solving and Resolution: Use your initiative to resolve day-to-day problems independently and support managers when working remotely and off-site with urgent queries.
Requirements
  • Essential: Must be able to demonstrate behaviors consistent with Trust values and behaviors, RSA III Typing or Equivalent keyboard skills, NVQ III in Business Admin or Equivalent experience, Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and Skills.
  • Desirable: At least 2 years' experience in a large complex organization, Experience of managing contractors, Data Processing and Analysis Skills.
