About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join our Public Sector team at Forvis Mazars. As an Audit Manager, you will be responsible for leading multiple audit engagements, overseeing and developing junior staff, and working closely with clients to provide exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead multiple audit engagements from planning through to completion
  • Oversee and develop junior staff, providing guidance and support to ensure successful completion of audits
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored audit services
  • Manage stakeholder relationships at audited entities, including senior level staff
  • Collaborate with Senior leaders up to Partner level to ensure seamless delivery of audit services
Requirements
  • ACA / CA / ACCA (or equivalent) qualification
  • Experience of leading external audits from planning through to completion
  • Relevant public services sector audit experience
  • Up-to-date technical knowledge of UK GAAP / FRS102 and IFRS
  • Experience of managing, training, and coaching audit trainees
