About the Role

The Facilities Owner is a critical position within Norsk Hydro, responsible for the overall management of our facilities, infrastructure, and site services. This role requires a high degree of autonomy, strategic thinking, and operational expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilities Management: Ensure the fabric of our buildings, both internally and externally, is maintained and serviced to a high standard, in accordance with management contracts and agreed budgets.
  • Contract Management: Agree and oversee third-party contracts to ensure the correct standard of service is provided for all infrastructure and utilities, including gas, electricity, water, waste effluent, and drainage, as well as HVAC systems.
  • Service Agreement Management: Prepare, control, and monitor service agreements in accordance with site budgetary agreements.
  • Performance Monitoring: Regularly monitor key performance indicators and take remedial action as necessary to ensure required standards are maintained and continuously improved for all buildings.
  • Fire Safety and Emergency Preparedness: Ensure fire systems and emergency lighting systems are regularly tested, recorded, and any corrective actions are logged and rectified as soon as possible.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Ensure legal compliance of facilities infrastructure and liaise with local authorities as required.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping: Compile information on preventive plans, corrective and punctual actions, people availability, and maintenance materials availability, and report performance KPIs.
