We are seeking a Cultural Engagement Coordinator to join our dedicated team. Your primary location will be at the Summerlee Museum of Scottish Industrial Life, but your role will involve collaborating with various communities across North Lanarkshire to foster heritage awareness and sustainability.

Your responsibilities will include assisting community organizations and other stakeholders in identifying, developing, securing funding for, and executing initiatives that enrich our understanding of North Lanarkshire's diverse heritage.

To excel in this position, you should possess a passion for community engagement, demonstrate outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities, be self-driven, and maintain a flexible work approach. Experience in successful project management, financial planning, and grant writing is essential.

Previous experience in nurturing community groups, engaging with underrepresented populations, conducting educational sessions, and a solid understanding of historical contexts, along with a sincere interest in amplifying community voices, will significantly contribute to your success in this role.

A genuine passion for heritage and the willingness to share that knowledge is crucial.

Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.

The successful candidate will need to undergo a satisfactory PVG check.

This position is temporary for a duration of six months.

This role is supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Working Pattern :

Monday & Tuesday - 7 hours
