Job Title: Accommodation Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Accommodation Engineer to join our team at Morson Talent. As an Accommodation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and integrating outfit systems for naval and commercial ships.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop outfit systems, including deck coverings, coatings, insulation, and linings.
  2. Coordinate with systems engineers and detail designers to ensure integration of outfit systems.
  3. Prepare technical equipment specifications and develop designs in line with all specifications and standards.
  4. Produce Procurement Pack documentation and coordinate with suppliers to ensure delivery to the agreed specification.
  5. Support HAZIDs and Safety Reviews, Design Reviews, and Zonal Reviews.
  6. Carry out technical analyses and investigations, including evaluation and selection of technical options, and prepare reports with suggested recommendations.
  7. Liaise with customers and/or suppliers in assigned areas on engineering matters.
  8. Contribute to engineering team decisions to support the effective performance of the team.

Requirements:

  1. Strong understanding of Detail Design Requirements as immediate customer in Engineering Lifecycle.
  2. Experience in an Outfit Ship Design environment.
  3. Experience in engineering or a defence related industry.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft packages and experience working in 3D model (view only).
