Job Summary

Project Partners is seeking an experienced Senior Contract Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing multiple contracts and ensuring their successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Management: Manage multiple contracts in accordance with program, ensuring all work is conducted safely and in compliance with current company policies and legislation.
  • Programme Management: Produce and monitor project programmes, including tender programmes for bids. Ability to dropline a construction programme and explain critical path analysis.
  • Commercial Acumen: Achieve the tendered margin or betterment through strong commercial skills.
  • Team Management: Ensure that all operational staff have appropriate competencies and certificates to undertake works. Monitor performance to ensure that all objectives are met, and problems are anticipated and resolved.
  • Client Relationships: Maintain and develop excellent relationships with clients.
  • Internal Team Development: Assist in the recruitment, training, and development of direct reports and manage and develop the internal team of Engineers.
  • Estimating Support: Assist the Estimating Department when required.
  • Resource Management: Identify plant & material requirements and ensure written requisitions are submitted. Ensure we are not wasteful on labour, plant, and materials.
  • Record Keeping: Ensure that records (manual and electronic) for completed works are processed and submitted in accordance with current procedures.
  • Company Values: Act as a role model at all times in support of the company's vision, priorities, and values.
Technical Specifications
  • Experience: Significant experience at a Senior Management level.
  • Project Management: Project Management skills including management of risk for delivery of projects to time, cost, quality, safety, and security of supply.
  • Programme Management: Programme management and the ability to produce and monitor project programmes using programming software.
  • People Management: People Management skills.
  • Change Management: Change Management skills.
  • Risk and Opportunity Management: Risk and Opportunity Management skills.
  • Commercial Acumen: Commercial Acumen - experience in contract management within fixed price and target cost NEC3 / NEC 4 Contracts.
  • Health and Safety: Sound understanding of health and safety legislation.
  • Technical Skills: Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Essential Qualifications
  • Civil Engineering Qualification: Qualification in Civil Engineering.
  • Health and Safety Certifications: SMSTS / IOSHH, NEBOSH.
  • CSCS Card: CSCS Card – Black or White Card.
  • EUSR Card: EUSR Card.
  • First Aid at Work: First Aid at Work.
  • Professional Membership: Membership of relevant professional body (desirable).
  • Lifting AP: Lifting AP (desirable).
