About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team at PayPoint Group. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our database systems to ensure optimal performance and security.

As a Database Administrator, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including database installations, upgrades, and migrations. You will also be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our database systems, as well as providing technical support and guidance to other teams within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain database systems to ensure optimal performance and security
  • Perform database installations, upgrades, and migrations
  • Ensure the security and integrity of database systems
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other teams within the organization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
Requirements
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2008+
  • Experience with database administration in a project or operations environment
  • Ability to perform performance tuning and query plans, HA & DR solutions, and partitioning
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure technologies
  • Experience with T-SQL, SQL Server upgrades, and cloud migrations
  • Knowledge of scripting and automation tools like PowerShell, Terraform
  • Knowledge of SSIS, SSRS, Power BI
  • PCI-DSS compliance knowledge
  • NoSQL - Mongo
  • Understanding of Solarwinds, Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, and Service Now
