About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our integrated therapy team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for working with children from a range of ages, providing assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and diagnose communication and swallowing disorders in children
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication and swallowing needs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to children and their families
  • Conduct regular progress assessments and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Requirements
  • SLT recognised degree
  • Experience of working with children from a range of ages
  • Awareness of the principles of governance/audit
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including observation, listening, and empathy
