Sales Administrator Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Sales Administrator to join our team at The Recruitment Co. As a Sales Administrator, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing sales orders, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Provide a warm and friendly first point of contact to all external contacts, ensuring a positive experience for our customers.
  • Sales Order Processing: Accurately process sales orders in a timely manner, including sending order confirmations with shipment dates.
  • Credit Card Payments: Process credit card payments via virtual terminal.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately record all customer contact and relevant details within our contact database (Microsoft Dynamics 365).
  • Order Release: Release orders for shipment to the warehouse accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Delivery Updates: Relay delivery date changes or updates to customers as required.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot customer issues, maintaining control and ensuring full communication with the customer to final resolution.
  • Quotations: Generate quotations for customer requirements and follow up where necessary, recording feedback from customers and liaising with managers to ensure competitiveness in the market.
  • Product Development: Gradually develop technical product information and applications.
  • Vendor Management: Source customer requested items from our existing vendor base and beyond where necessary, placing purchase orders with vendors for special order and drop ship requirements.
  • Inventory Management: Accurately record all vendor contact and relevant details within our ERP system (Microsoft Navision).
  • Team Support: Assist other team members with transactions when required in other departments.
Requirements:
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in a fast-paced environment dealing with parts and stock.
  • Reliability and Organisation: Reliable, good organisational skills, enthusiastic, and conscientious.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills.
  • Technical Skills: Happy to learn and train on the technical aspect of our clients' product.
