We are seeking an experienced and skilled Apprentice Assessor to join our team at the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC). As an Apprentice Assessor, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development of engineering apprentices and ensuring they meet the required standards.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular student reviews and assessments to monitor progress and provide feedback.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with student employers to ensure a supportive learning environment.
- Monitor students' working environments to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Mark and provide feedback on students' work, ensuring it meets the required standards.
- Perform written observations of students conducting engineering tasks and duties.
- High-level electrical and mechanical engineering knowledge gained through industrial experience.
- Understanding of engineering apprenticeships and qualification standards.
- Experience with various assessment methods used within apprenticeship standards.
- Good understanding of IQA processes and compliance.
- Time-served engineer with a good understanding of electrical systems and mechanical engineering.
- Related engineering qualification to a level 3 standard or above.
- Functional Skills Level 2 / GCSE's in Maths and English grade C or above.
- CAVA or equivalent assessor qualifications.
- IT proficient in Microsoft office suite of software packages including Outlook and TEAMs.
- Recognised Training/Teaching Qualification.
- Internal Quality Assurance qualifications.
- IOSH Health and Safety qualification.
- Experience with Smart Assessor E-portfolio and Pro Monitor software packages.
