Child sexual exploitation and abuse is a pressing global issue that requires a comprehensive and evidence-driven approach. The lack of reliable data and analysis hinders the development of effective prevention and response strategies, policies, and programs. This post offers a unique opportunity to provide senior research leadership and serve as the Director of European Hub for Childlight, aiming to enhance data partnerships, prevalence estimates, and impact in the region. The postholder will also contribute to global data projects as needed.
This is a full-time position (35 hours per week) with an open-ended contract, subject to review on 30 April 2028. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate a strong academic profile, with a PhD in public health or a related field, and an established track record of internationally excellent research in child sexual exploitation and abuse.
Your Skills and Attributes- Expertise in child sexual exploitation and abuse epidemiological research with a demonstrable impact in the European region.
- Leadership experience in research, attracting funding as a PI of research grants, and knowledge exchange through effective public engagement.
- An excellent portfolio of high-quality research publications in child protection research.
