Position Overview: We are currently seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer with a focus on Electrical systems at our major glass Merchanting facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct electrical and mechanical repair work on processing machinery and equipment.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks to enhance equipment reliability.
  • Engage in system and process enhancements, ensuring safety checks and inspections are organized (e.g., Portable Appliance Testing, Lifting Equipment).
  • Implement optimal health and safety practices and contribute to the ongoing improvement of maintenance protocols.
  • Oversee contractor activities on site.

Qualifications: Candidates must have completed a recognized apprenticeship in either mechanical or electrical engineering and hold qualifications in wiring regulations (17th or preferably 18th edition).

Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, and PLC systems is beneficial, along with a background in installations and project commissioning. Previous experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing or processing environment is essential. Familiarity with SAP or similar business systems is advantageous, though comprehensive training will be provided.
