Position Overview

At Wates Group, we are excited to announce openings for Construction Site Surveyors to become part of our Living Space Responsive team. We are seeking candidates who are flexible with travel and can easily commute within the East & West Midlands region.

This role primarily involves generating commercial outputs and effectively managing cost control while collaborating with client representatives to ensure adherence to contractual service standards, thereby promoting operational efficiency and profitability for the company.

As a member of the responsive team, you will engage in projects within the social housing and local authority sectors, so prior experience in this area is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Applications, Accounts, and Invoices in the required format promptly.
  • Ensure all expenses related to service delivery are accurately coded, documented, authorized, and recovered.
  • Assist in generating management information and performance reports (both internal and external) on a monthly basis in approved formats.
  • Maintain commercial Work In Progress (WIP) and debt at minimal levels, aligning with management-set targets.
  • Ensure timely valuation production leading to invoice issuance within 9 calendar days post-completion of work.
  • Foster effective communication between Wates Living Space and the client.

We are looking for an individual with strong financial and commercial acumen, demonstrating a commitment to customer-focused service. Ideally, you will already hold a similar position and possess experience within the social housing sector.

To excel in this role, you should be an outstanding communicator, both in writing and verbally, with a solid understanding of maintenance and property management legislation.
