Role Overview: Senior Financial Strategy and Planning Partner

Location: London

Key Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, the Senior Financial Strategy and Planning Partner will deliver strategic and financial insights to enhance decision-making processes and boost business performance within Exolum NWE. The primary responsibilities include:

  • Leading and coordinating the annual budgeting cycle for Pipeline Systems (PS), along with rolling forecasts and long-term strategic planning.
  • Ensuring consistency in planning assumptions and documentation.
  • Preparing and reviewing planning presentations and reports for the consolidated Exolum NWE presentation deck, which is submitted to Exolum Group.
  • Enhancing business partnerships by developing and refining PS monthly management reports and presentations, integrating KPIs from various departments, and collaborating closely with NWE senior management and group finance.

Candidate Profile

To be successful in this role, candidates should be qualified accountants (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and business analysis techniques, alongside robust commercial finance experience. Ideal candidates will have:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial analysis.
  • Experience with commercial investment appraisal techniques.
  • Background in corporate finance and consulting or familiarity with the pipeline logistics and bulk liquid storage sectors.
