Job Description

The Selection Partnership Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Commercial Department, you will be responsible for driving business growth and developing strategic relationships with major and potential customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities from target customers and industry sectors, and maintain long-term relationships to drive revenue growth.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets for budgeted and target accounts, and regularly review allocated accounts to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with key influencers and decision-makers within allocated accounts, and develop a deep understanding of their business needs and goals.
  • Market Intelligence: Gather and disseminate relevant market information to inform sales strategy and tactics, and stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity.
  • Stock Management: Liaise closely with contract customers to control stock levels of customer special items within pre-agreed limits, and ensure effective stock management practices are in place.
Requirements:
  • Essential Skills: Selling skills, presentations, negotiating, communication, planning and organizing, stock management, and building relationships.
  • Essential Knowledge: Steel products knowledge, market trends, and industry-specific knowledge.
