Job Title: Freight Forwarder

DSV Road Limited is seeking a highly skilled Freight Forwarder to join our team in Purfleet. As a key member of our export planning department, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the transportation of goods from the UK to Europe.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate groupage, part load, and full load consignments from the UK to Europe
  • Sourcing haulage and negotiating prices with approved hauliers
  • Cooperate with DSV offices abroad and colleagues within the UK to ensure seamless logistics operations
  • Identify and utilize opportunities to increase profitability and turnover
  • Ensure legislative compliance in all areas, including customs regulations
  • Arrange with approved hauliers for transport of cargo and confirm availability of equipment
  • Prepare correct documentation and instruct the UK warehouses to load cargo to vehicles
  • Perform general administration tasks, including cost checking and communication with internal and external customers
Requirements:
  • Good financial awareness and organized approach
  • Knowledge of the road freight industry and prior experience in international trailer planning
  • Ability to work under pressure and come up with alternative solutions to challenges and problems
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
