We are seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to join our Accounting & Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing pensions and managing the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate payment to staff across the public sector organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pension management and administration
  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, including accurate calculation of wages, deductions, and benefits
  • Handle payroll queries and resolve any discrepancies promptly
  • Liaise with HR to ensure all payroll data is up-to-date and accurate
  • Assist with audits and compliance checks as required
  • Prepare payroll reports for management as needed
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll-related legislation
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of payroll systems and processes
Requirements
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Proven experience in pension management
  • Familiarity with payroll software, preferably within the public sector
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Good understanding of payroll legislation and procedures
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
