Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Electrical Apprenticeship Assessor to join our team at South Staffordshire College. As a visionary leader, you will be responsible for engaging with our Electrical apprentices on their learning journey, inspiring them to develop their skills and knowledge, and contributing to the growth and development of our electrical team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and evaluate the skills and knowledge of Electrical apprentices in a workplace setting
  • Develop and implement effective assessment strategies to ensure high-quality learning outcomes
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver high-quality training programs
  • Contribute to the development of the electrical team, sharing best practices and expertise
  • Provide guidance and support to apprentices, promoting their personal and professional growth

Requirements

  • Qualified electrician with at least 3 years' current occupational experience in the electrical trade
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE or DTTLS) and Assessors qualification (A1 or equivalent)
  • Experience of teaching at Level 3 and assessing in the workplace
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
  • Full driving license and willingness to travel
