About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Fundraising Administration Assistant to join our team at the Medical Research Foundation. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development of relationships with existing donors and raising income from potential funders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Donor Engagement: Act as the first point of contact for supporters, dealing with fundraising enquiries, requests for information, and feedback.
  • Correspondence and Communications: Thank donors and create personalized correspondence and other communications to support the donor journey.
  • Event Support: Assist in the delivery of face-to-face events, including challenge events and donor stewardship events.
  • Database Management: Maintain accurate records on our database and keep our online giving platforms up to date.
  • Research and Development: Conduct research on new fundraising opportunities and sources of income.
  • Campaign Support: Assist in campaigns to encourage more people to make donations and leave a gift in their Will to the Foundation.
  • Funding Applications: Support the research for and delivery of funding applications.
  • Fundraising Materials: Develop fundraising materials to support our campaigns.
Requirements
  • Customer Service Experience: Proven experience of providing excellent customer service.
  • Written Communications: Effective written communications with a persuasive writing style.
  • Research Skills: Strong research skills, including the ability to search for reliable information online, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Record Keeping: Experience of maintaining accurate records (e.g. customer records, contact details, project data).
  • Organizational Skills: Working in an organized manner, managing deadlines effectively and responding flexibly to work priorities.
  • IT Literacy: Proficient in using IT systems and software.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to develop and manage effective working relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £28,000 depending on experience, double-matched pension contributions up to 10% max employer contribution, 30 days of annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata) per year, excellent financial, health and social benefits, and an opportunity to join a dedicated team making a difference to human health.

We value spending time working in-person to develop strong connections with each other and with our mission, so you will be based at our central London office for a minimum of three days a week with the option to work remotely for the remainder.
