About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Development Lead to join our team at Work Relief Limited. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a tailored UK fundraising strategy, focusing on grant acquisition from trusts, foundations, and individual philanthropists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive UK fundraising strategy, including grant acquisition and major donor fundraising.
  • Identify, develop, and manage grant applications and budgets, working closely with our international development team.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing funders, including trusts, foundations, and individual philanthropists.
  • Develop and manage a calendar of fundraising events, including mass giving and digital initiatives.
  • Collaborate with our team to develop and diversify our fundraising portfolio, including identifying smaller grant opportunities.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in fundraising and development, with a strong background in trusts and foundations, or major donor fundraising.
  • Persuasive and versatile communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong and impactful relationships.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with trusts, foundations, and individual philanthropists.
  • Experience in co-developing and diversifying fundraising strategies, including mass giving and digital initiatives.
  • Experience with CRM and grant-management systems.
