We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our Head Office team. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the financial stability and success of our business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior management and the board of directors.
- Oversee the management of a team of qualified accountants, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Coordinate and review month/quarter/year end tasks, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.
- Responsible for the balance sheet reconciliation process, ensuring all accounts are accurate and up-to-date.
- Plan and execute the audit process, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Submit year-end statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local GAAP.
- Develop and maintain robust processes and controls, ensuring the highest level of financial integrity.
- Oversee all tasks and activities, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.
- Continuously review and improve finance systems, processes, and controls, ensuring the highest level of efficiency and effectiveness.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualification/experience typically +5 years post-qualified (ACA/CIMA/ACCA).
- Strong knowledge of IFRS/local GAAP.
- BA/BSc degree or equivalent an advantage.
- Ensures compliance with internal controls and audit process.
- Anticipates how the business may be affected by external changes.
- Represents their Country Team internally and on cross-functional teams.
