Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Wheelchair Practitioner to join our team at Dorset HealthCare. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support for our wheelchair services, ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care and support.

Main Responsibilities

As a Specialist Wheelchair Practitioner, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing administrative support for our wheelchair services, including managing complex administrative systems and processes.
  • Working across organisational boundaries to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Managing and coordinating projects, ensuring that deadlines are met.
  • Using Microsoft applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software.
  • Developing and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders, including patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate who has:

  • 5 GCSE passes at grade C or above, or equivalent, including English and Mathematics.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Dysphagia.
  • NVQ L3 or equivalent level of knowledge of office procedures.
  • Evidence of self-development or training in administration and/or office practices.
  • Experience of working across organisational boundaries and with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Previous experience of working within defined training/secretarial/administrative procedures.
  • Demonstrable experience of using Microsoft applications.
  • A flexible approach to working and ability to self-motivate.

Business Travel

Subject to the provisions of the Equality Act, you will be required to travel using your own vehicle on Trust Business.
