Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our team at Gap Personnel. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a reputable company and contribute to the success of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage client portfolios and ensure compliance deadlines are met.
  • Prepare financial statements, VAT returns, and corporation tax returns for filing at Companies House and HMRC.
  • Perform bookkeeping tasks, including using Xero and QuickBooks as needed.
  • Communicate with clients, both written and verbally, to ensure their needs are met.
  • Invoice clients for services rendered and ensure timely payment.
  • Provide tax planning advice to clients and process payroll for clients.

Requirements:

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Client management experience and working knowledge of accounting systems and software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
