The Role
We are seeking a skilled HGV driver with a Hiab license to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering a high level of customer service while ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive company vehicles in accordance with company policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and courteous service to customers.
- Comply with all relevant legislation and regulations, including health and safety guidelines.
- Ensure the safe and efficient loading and unloading of goods, minimizing the risk of damage or loss.
- Cultivate and maintain exceptional standards of customer service, ensuring that all interactions are professional and courteous.
- Proactively contribute to the growth of the company by identifying opportunities for sales and revenue growth.
- Be vigilant and report any health and safety issues to the line manager immediately.
Requirements
- A valid HGV Class 2 license.
- A valid Hiab license.
- Previous driving experience within the builders' merchants industry.
- A positive and friendly attitude.
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and methodical approach.
- Ability to work under pressure, be self-motivated, and adaptable.
- Good interpersonal skills, confidence, and ability to approach customers.
- Excellent time management skills.
- A desire to develop a knowledge of the company, our products, and the elements required to be successfully employed in this business.
