The Role
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 2 driver with a valid Hiab license to join our team. As a Hiab operator, you will be responsible for delivering a friendly and professional service in a safe and efficient manner on and off company premises.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive in accordance with the law, safely and courteously
• Comply with current legislation
• Ensure safe and efficient loading and unloading
• Cultivate and maintain exceptional standards of customer service and ensure Lawsons Best Practice, Standards and Company Policies are met
• Build rapport, be polite and courteous to customers
• Proactively contribute by seeking out potential company sales
• Be vigilant to prevent loss or damage of product and vehicle
• Be vigilant and report any Health & Safety issues to the Line Manager immediately
Requirements
• A valid HGV Class 2 License
• A valid Hiab License (essential)
• Previous driving experience within the Builders Merchants Industry
• A positive and friendly attitude
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and methodical
• Ability to work under pressure, be self-motivated and adaptable
• Good interpersonal skills, confidence and ability to approach customers
• Excellent time management skills
• A desire to develop a knowledge of the company, our products and the elements required to be successfully employed in this business.
What We Offer
• Salary £35,500 - £37,500 dependant on experience
