Premier Engineering, a rapidly expanding and innovative Scientific Engineering firm located in Glasgow, is seeking a talented Senior Electronics/Mechatronics Engineer to enhance our team on a permanent basis.



Compensation:


The successful candidate for the Senior Electronics/Mechatronics Engineer position will receive a competitive salary ranging from £50,000 to £60,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and expertise.



Role Summary:

The Senior Electronics/Mechatronics Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and presentation of high-quality electronic and mechatronic systems that have a significant impact within a commercial environment.


Key Responsibilities:
- Hardware development from individual PCBs to comprehensive electro-mechanical assemblies.

Essential Skills:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of industry experience.
- Proven track record in the design, development, testing, and deployment of electronics and mechatronics solutions in collaborative, cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Electronics Circuit Design (both analogue and digital).
- Strong grasp of fundamental electronic engineering principles, including circuit design, digital and analogue electronics, and control systems.
- Skilled in PCB design using Altium Designer or similar software.
- Experience in electrical wiring and harness design.
- Ability to create successful electronic and mechatronic solutions to complex technical challenges.
- Familiarity with Solidworks for mechanical parts and assemblies design.
- Experience in designing integrated electro-mechanical systems.
- A dedicated, enthusiastic team player.

Desirable Qualifications:
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status.
- Experience in embedded software programming (C/C++).
- Familiarity with testing/scripting in Python.
- Background in platform technology companies addressing scientific challenges is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Chemistry is a plus.
