A dynamic and innovative Scientific Engineering Firm based in Glasgow (Scotland) is seeking a new Senior Electronics/Mechatronics Engineer to enhance their team on a permanent basis.

Compensation Details:

The successful candidate for the Senior Electronics/Mechatronics Engineer role will receive a salary ranging from £50,000 to £60,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and skill level.

Role Summary:

The Senior Electronics/Mechatronics Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and presentation of high-quality electronic and mechatronic systems that significantly influence the commercial sector. This role encompasses hardware development, from individual PCBs to comprehensive electro-mechanical assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Expertise in the design, development, testing, and launch of electronic and mechatronic solutions within collaborative, cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in Electronics Circuit Design (both analogue and digital).
  • Strong grasp of fundamental electronic engineering principles, including circuit design, digital and analogue electronics, and control systems.
  • Skilled in PCB design using Altium Designer or similar software.
  • Experience in electrical wiring and harness design.
  • Proven track record of developing successful electronic and mechatronic solutions to complex technical challenges.
  • Familiarity with Solidworks for mechanical parts and assemblies design.
  • Experience in designing integrated electro-mechanical systems.
  • Dedicated, enthusiastic, and a collaborative team player.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status.
  • Experience in embedded software programming (C/C++).
  • Familiarity with testing/scripting in Python.
  • Background in platform technology companies addressing scientific challenges is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Chemistry is a plus.
