Your Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional leadership and support to the ward team, ensuring smooth daily operations and adherence to high clinical standards.
  • Collaborate with the Ward Manager in developing and implementing innovative care strategies that enhance patient outcomes.
  • Effectively manage staff resources, including performance appraisals, training initiatives, and addressing any concerns or issues.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of current clinical practices and regulatory guidelines within the nursing field.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork, communication, and professional growth.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a proven track record in acute medicine or care of the elderly settings. You will possess excellent communication, organizational, and delegation skills, coupled with a genuine passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification at 1st Level.
  • Substantial experience working as a Band 5 nurse in acute medicine or care of the elderly.
  • Evidence of further post-registration study.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma in Nursing.
  • Previous experience at Band 5 level.
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.
