Tencent Games' Venture Lab: A Hub for Innovation and Excellence

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Director/Expert to join our team at Tencent Games' Venture Lab. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in elevating the potential of our portfolio studios and creating a lasting impact on their games.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with studio developers to provide technical-related advisory and support
  • Drive quality in a collaborative and constructive way, partnering with essential team members to create an organizational structure and processes that allow the team to efficiently produce high-quality work on time and on budget
  • Involve in strategic product planning, franchise, and lifecycle management
  • Ensure effective processes are in place for project tracking, including milestone reviews and feedback
  • Prepare and regularly communicate project status information to management
  • Work on Gaas and innovation promotions
Requirements:
  • An inquisitive mind and understanding of the latest technology in game development
  • Experience managing a production team, ideally externally, with medium-large teams or development studios within the video game industry
  • An understanding of a wide range of project management concepts, tools, and approaches, and an ability to tailor methods to meet the requirements of the team
  • Experience delivering multiple high-quality entertainment experiences, understanding the motivations of your player base, and can assess innovation to deliver upon expectations
