The East Midlands Planned Care Centre (EMPCC) is a state-of-the-art establishment aimed at significantly reducing patient wait times for elective procedures.

Key Responsibilities

We require a proactive Band 5 Nurse to join our evolving team, which will expand and develop over time. The EMPCC will provide services in General Surgery, Urology, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, and ENT.

The East Midlands Planned Care Centre will manage a substantial volume of patients daily. This fast-paced environment demands a highly motivated and adaptable individual.

The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Evaluating and monitoring patient health status
  • Assessing symptoms and vital signs, and coordinating diagnostic evaluations
  • Exhibiting strong analytical skills and sound judgment in fluctuating clinical scenarios
  • Collaborating effectively within a team and fostering interdisciplinary relationships
  • The role encompasses, but is not limited to, the aforementioned responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based nursing care for a designated group of patients.
  • Assist in the management and organization of a clinical area.
  • Actively contribute to establishing and maintaining high standards of nursing care.
  • Participate in the education, development, and supervision of fellow staff members.
  • Collaborate and cooperate with others to meet the needs of patients and their families.
  • Serve as a clinical and professional role model, mentoring and supporting students and learners in the clinical setting.
