Position Overview

We are looking for a **Lead KYC Compliance Specialist** to become a vital part of our Client Lifecycle Management (CLM) team, contributing to a significant KYC (Know Your Client) initiative. You will join our KYC Managed Service Team and will be responsible for the thorough processing of KYC documentation. The KYC Compliance Specialist will perform detailed Customer Due Diligence (CDD) assessments across various jurisdictions and entity types within a dynamic project environment. This role requires a dedicated individual who is committed to delivering high-quality results within project timelines and has a demonstrated ability to maintain a consistent approach to KYC procedures while adhering to regulatory standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute remediation/onboarding and/or routine KYC assessments for our clients.
  • Gather and evaluate KYC documentation in accordance with the client's AML policy to identify and address any deficiencies.
  • Obtain data from authorized public sources using the methods outlined in policies and procedures.
  • Assemble KYC documentation packets utilizing the required information and documents per client policy and procedures.
  • Keep key stakeholders informed about the progress or challenges encountered during the KYC review process.
  • Escalate issues to relevant teams when information cannot be sourced, exceptions are granted on existing files, or additional approvals are required to proceed.
  • Engage directly with client departments when necessary (e.g., Front Office) to secure the required information and documentation for KYC/CDD evaluations.

Requirements

Essential Skills/Experience - Candidates with transferable skills are encouraged to apply.

  • Experience in AML/KYC due diligence roles.
  • Understanding of AML/KYC regulations and industry standards.
  • General knowledge of AML Typologies/Red Flags.
  • Familiarity with the complete process for client onboarding and periodic reviews, including conducting due diligence on publicly and internally sourced information/documentation, Ownership Dilution, Screening (for PEPs, Sanctions, Adverse Media, High-Risk Industries), qualitative and quantitative risk assessments.
  • Awareness of due diligence requirements for various entity types.
  • Experience in managing and interpreting large volumes of complex data.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members and other departments.
  • Strong work ethic in a fast-paced environment with deadlines and service level agreements.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Desirable Skills:

  • Prior experience in Investment/Corporate banking or a service provider environment.

Hybrid Working Expectations: As a Service Provider and Consulting firm serving clients, our policy on physical presence in the office (either at the client's premises or our own, depending on the client) aligns with our clients' policies and expectations, which may vary. Currently, most clients require at least three days in the office and two days remotely, and we expect the same minimum from candidates. However, some clients may require four or even five days in the office, so we seek candidates who are adaptable to meet our clients' needs.
