Network Operations Specialist

At CV Library, we're seeking a skilled Network Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Network Operations team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our customer network.
Key Responsibilities- Perform day-to-day network administrative tasks to ensure network uptime and performance.
- Assist in the provisioning, managing, and auditing of new network cabinets to ensure seamless integration.
- Develop and maintain documentation to aid in fault resolution and improve network efficiency.
- Provide remote support to customers with ISP issues, troubleshooting routers, CPEs, NTEs, and switches to resolve network-related problems.
- Liaise with third-party contractors and other departments within CV Library to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Manage incidents across the network within SLA and respond to network events as notified by the monitoring platform to ensure prompt resolution.
- Interact with customers via email and telephone, requiring excellent written and verbal communication skills to provide exceptional customer service.
- Prioritize workload between multiple customer incidents or enquiries to ensure timely resolution.
- Knowledge of home IT, including home networks, servers, email, Wi-Fi access points, Ethernet over power lines, and other relevant technologies.
- Network operation, including routing, VLANs, RSTP, Ethernet, and other advanced networking concepts.
- Understanding of router/switch configuration and management.
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team to achieve common goals.
- Previous work experience in a technical service desk environment is desirable.
- Degree qualification in a technology discipline, such as Computer Science, Networks, or IT, is desirable but not essential.
- CompTIA Network+ qualification or equivalent is desirable.
