About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our Primary Care team at HMP Altcourse, a category B prison located in the Fazakerley area of Liverpool.

This is a crucial role within the healthcare team, making a real difference to patients, and delivering outstanding care. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working closely with the nursing and pharmacy teams to deliver personalized care packages and health promotion initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring the highest standards of care and compassion.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of care packages, health promotion initiatives, and wellbeing programs.
  • Support the nursing and pharmacy teams in primary care, working collaboratively to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest healthcare practices and guidelines.

Requirements

  • A NVQ Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, or equivalent.
  • A non-judgmental and compassionate approach.
  • Ability to evidence Continued Professional Development (CPD).
  • A driving license and own vehicle (desirable).
