Role: Shift Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Shift Engineer to join our engineering team at The Other House, a unique Residents Club in the heart of London. As a Shift Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our Residence club and its systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and implement preventative measures.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to resolve technical issues and ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Communicate effectively with guests, colleagues, and external contractors to ensure excellent customer service.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Shift Engineer or in a similar role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Technical certifications or trade licenses are desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire and life safety systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces if required.
