Join the Retirement Villages Group as a Financial Portfolio Analyst

Our Finance Department is expanding, and we are seeking a Financial Portfolio Analyst on a fixed-term contract. The ideal candidate will possess robust financial modeling skills.

This position involves conducting financial assessments on our extensive residential property portfolio to support informed asset management decisions. You will collaborate closely with our sales, operations, and finance teams to model various strategic alternatives for our assets.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis and Modeling

  • Develop financial models and cash flow projections to evaluate diverse scenarios.
  • Engage with various teams and utilize tools to gather essential data.
  • Perform sensitivity analyses to assess potential outcomes.
  • Coordinate with our valuation experts to discuss and finalize modeling methodologies and their impact on valuations.
  • Collaborate with the Finance team to integrate modeling results into annual financial reports.

Strategic Asset Planning

  • Leverage financial models to enhance business decision-making processes.
  • Work alongside the Property team to refresh asset business plans, providing clear recommendations and financial implications.

Collaborative Engagement

  • Partner with the Sales team to gain insights into sales and rental pricing, market trends, and future valuations.
  • Collaborate with the Operations team to understand current and projected operational expenses.
  • Engage with the Development team to assess how development activities can enhance asset value and incorporate these insights into modeling.

Training and Development

  • Develop standard operating procedures for financial modeling and asset business planning.
  • Facilitate training sessions on financial models and their role in supporting business decisions.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Qualified surveyor (MRICS or equivalent) with a background in financial modeling.
  • Experience in residential property or development is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Alternatively, a qualified accountant/analyst (CA, CFA, or equivalent) with property experience is welcome.
  • Familiarity with integrating models into financial statements is advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience in asset business planning and strategic development is desirable.
  • Proficient in Excel and financial modeling techniques.
