Java Technical Lead Opportunity

SearchData is partnering with a retail firm to recruit a Java Technical Lead. This critical role in the IT department will provide technical leadership to an agile cross-functional software development team.

You will be responsible for developing future-proof scalable web-based software using Java and related technologies, as well as decoupled user interfaces. The role involves analysis of business requirements, design of appropriate solutions, and provision of strong technical leadership to the Java development team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop corporate applications and services using Java and related technologies
  • Provide technical leadership and direction to the Java development team
  • Liaise with other stakeholders in the business as appropriate
  • Design and implement scalable web-based software using Java and related technologies
Requirements
  • Prior experience of technical leadership is desired
  • Passion for Java, related technologies, and software development
  • Experience using cloud technologies
  • Good working knowledge of Restful API
  • Experience using React would be beneficial
  • Excellent understanding of relational database management systems (ideally MySQL)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and exceptional oral and written communication skills
