Job Summary

Ludham & Stalham Green Surgeries are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated practice nurse to join their busy practice based over two sites. This is a part-time role, and the practice is flexible regarding hours depending on the candidate's needs. The practice is a friendly, rural, 4-partner training practice located on the beautiful Norfolk Broads, a pleasant 25-minute drive from Norwich/Gt Yarmouth.

Main Duties of the Job

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications, registrations, skills, and experience:

  • A relevant nursing degree.
  • Current NMC registration with an active PIN.
  • Fundamentals of Practice Nursing course (General Practice Nurse Foundation Programme) or equivalent experience or qualifications.
  • Competence to undertake asthma, COPD, and diabetic clinics and reviews, holding relevant certificates.
  • Evidence of clinical skills and experience in treatment room consultation, phlebotomy, ECG recording, screening, management of long-term conditions, cervical cytology sampling, vaccinations, and immunisations, assisting with minor surgery, dressing, and wound care, and recording spirometry.
  • A compassionate manner with an empathetic approach and demonstrable kindness in all aspects of work. The successful candidate will value the dignity of patients, their relatives, and carers, as well as their colleagues at the practice.
  • Knowledge and experience of its application in supporting long-term conditions.
  • Insight and understanding of current issues in nursing and the wider NHS.
