Product Development Manager

The RoleWe are seeking an entrepreneurial all-rounder to help realize the strategic priority of Shoosmiths Eight. This role will involve developing and maintaining connected services products, supporting the Director in commercial aspects, and driving business growth.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and implement infrastructure to support product development, provision, and management.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product development and operational efficiency.
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting operational delivery of products.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the progress and success of product development initiatives.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project status, challenges, and achievements.
- Assist the Director with strategic planning for the business.
- Assist the Director embed the new strategy for Eight, particularly by championing a more focused approach to product building.
- Be highly visible and attend internal meetings to promote EIGHT and connected services.
- Assist the Director with new product suggestions and building business cases for evaluation.
- Meet potential partners and suppliers to find best-in-class external capabilities and assess commercial compatibility with Shoosmiths' offering.
The ideal candidate will have a blend of skills, including product detail and project management, strategic management, and client-orientated approach. Experience in front office or working in close support of front office is preferred. Risk awareness is vital, and the ideal candidate should feel comfortable assessing risk. Proven stakeholder management would be advantageous, and the right candidate is likely to be dynamic and comfortable with a wide range of responsibilities.
