Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Senior Clinical Practitioner (SCP) to become a vital member of our CAS SRU team.
The successful candidate will integrate into a robust workforce of approximately 200 Senior Clinical Practitioners at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, stationed at the City campus within the Specialist Receiving Unit (SRU), part of the CAS Division.
Key Responsibilities
If you are currently a Senior Clinical Practitioner in a different clinical domain with the necessary qualifications and are interested in transitioning to a new area of practice, we offer a structured supervised practice and training opportunity to help you enhance your skills, competencies, and portfolio in a new specialty. Upon appointment, you will receive tailored supervision and assessment to meet your individual needs and requirements.
Your professional growth will be prioritized, with access to a comprehensive postgraduate education plan. As a Senior Clinical Practitioner at NUH, your development will align with a Trust-wide five-year plan that encompasses the four pillars of advanced practice. Throughout this period, you will be encouraged to actively participate in the advancement of your specialty within local, regional, and national forums and networks.
In addition to clinical responsibilities, you will have designated time each week to focus on your continued professional development and contribute to service enhancement initiatives. You will have the opportunity to pursue personal interests in areas such as education, teaching, research, or management.

- MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice
- Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional with a professional body
- Non-Medical Prescriber registered with NMC or other professional body
- ALS Provider certification
- Evidence of post-registration training and/or qualifications
