About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electro Mechanical Technician to join our team at Veolia. As an Electro Mechanical Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing our electro-mechanical systems, ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electro-mechanical systems, including control systems, electrical plant, and mechanical equipment.
  • Inspect and maintain LV electrical plant, apparatus, control gear, and variable speed drives.
  • Work with diverse instruments and maintain equipment files using CMMS.
  • Understand and interpret technical diagrams and propose improvements to plant/apparatus.
  • Oversee suppliers/contractors to ensure compliance with company procedures and safety standards.
  • Ensure adherence to Quality and Environmental Management System and Health and Safety Policies.
  • Assist maintenance/operation teams in achieving collective objectives.
  • Provide on-the-job training to apprentices when applicable.
Requirements
  • Completed a recognized Engineering Apprenticeship.
  • Qualified with at least ONC or equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline.
  • Detailed knowledge of Electro-mechanical systems maintenance techniques.
  • Good understanding of PLC & SCADA/DCS architecture and control systems.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a continuous process industry.
  • Understanding of Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS) and environmental legislation.
  • Capable of manual handling, working in confined spaces, and at heights.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with staff at all levels and external partners.
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime, with on-call availability.
  • Computer literate, adaptable, self-motivated, and able to work effectively in a team with minimal supervision.
