About the Role:

FRS Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Manager to join their team. As a key member of the company's Senior Leadership Team, this role will be responsible for leading a small finance team and taking ownership of the company's Management & Financial Accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, including supporting reconciliations
  • Review of control accounts reconciliations on a rolling basis to aid year-end accounting, including extract and checks on profit and loss analysis
  • Overseeing bank reconciliations
  • Monitoring the completion and production of sales and purchase ledger, providing authorisation
  • Assisting with the preparation of year-end accounts, including the provision of support and assistance during the annual audit, ensuring it is delivered in a timely and effective manner
  • Authorising bank payments and overheads
  • Day-to-day cash flow management
  • Managing the annual budget process
  • Submission of monthly/quarterly returns to HMRC
  • Providing reports and updates to the management team
  • Completing monthly 1-2-1's and annual Performance Development Reviews with the team to support development and identify areas for improvement
  • Identifying and reporting any risks identified in a timely manner to the Senior Management
  • Negotiation of company insurances

Requirements:

  • Working towards AAT/ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification, or already qualified
  • Previous experience gained within a similar position
  • QBE with suitable experience will be considered
  • Good level of IT literacy, with experience of Access Dimensions desirable but not essential
  • Comfortable taking a leadership position, guiding and mentoring a small team of 3
  • Strong and demonstrated exposure taking ownership of the company's Financial & Management accounting, ideally to include company payroll/PAYE
  • Experience gained within a manufacturing, engineering, or construction industry desirable, and/or with Cost Accounting
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, forming a key part of the company's SLT, requiring daily interaction, including reporting and analysis for the Directors
